The 2024 Accessibility is Beautiful event was held on August 24 at the Steel Yard. This annual event is a celebration of inclusion and accessibility, supported by local businesses, community advocates, legislators and many gracious volunteers. We were so grateful to enjoy the beautiful sunshine, music and entertainment, and the talent of local vendors and artists.
This year’s event featured food trucks, live demos, exciting hand-on activities, including the kid’s corner, and a petting zoo. Vendors and artists shared their work and provided the opportunity to shop and support local businesses.
Be Part of the IDEA
The highlight of the day was the unveiling of the new
logo for IDEA (IDEA stands for Inclusion Diversity Equity
Accessibility). The invitation is to be part of the IDEA;
to positively open your perspective to the inclusion to ALL.
The goal is to open perspectives and foster a culture of
inclusion for all.

On October 14th, we celebrated accessibility and inclusion at our annual Accessibility is Beautiful event. This year looked different because we had to reschedule and then move it indoors after our original date and location was rained out.
We are very thankful to the Times 2 Academy on 50 Fillmore Street in Providence, RI for hosting us! Please watch this video with Tina Guenette, RAMP CEO, and Howie Sneider from The Steel Yard to learn why it was so important to reschedule - not cancel - this event.

We had over 30 vendors, entertainment, kids corner, live demos and more. We were also honored to have so many of our elected officials show up and speak in support of accessibility throughout the state. Thank you Senator Whitehouse, Congressman Magaziner, Secretary of State Amore, Mayor Smiley of Providence, Mayor DaSilva of East Providence, Director Yarn of Veterans Affairs, Director Cimini of Office of Healthy Aging and more.
We want to congratulate Geri’s Bluffing Boutique as our winner of the custom accessible RAMP. The entire day was filled with art, adventure, support and inspiration. We are already planning next year's event back at The Steel Yard!

Accessibility is Beautiful 2022
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!

RAMP Members in green shirts pose for a group photo at Accessibility is Beautiful 2022 at The Steel Yard in Providence, RI.
Accessibility is Beautiful 2022 was a tremendous success! Almost 1,700 people walked through the gates, which more than tripled our attendance from last year. We had wonderful vendors (2 of which sold out), great food, entertainment that everyone raved about, and so much more. The vibe of the day was out of this world!
Almost 200 businesses registered for a free RAMP Roll-Through and the chance to win a custom ramp for their space. The historic Part Theatre was the lucky winner and their brand new, custom-built ramp was presented on September 28, 2022.
Presidential Service Awards

RAMP was selected to present this year's
Presidential Service Awards to individuals who are shining stars at community service. There are 4 levels of service awards: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Individuals submitted their service log for community service hours completed between August 1, 2021, through August 1, 2022. All applicants that meet the criteria and were in attendance received their award at the Accessibility is Beautiful event.

How RAMP's Yearly Signature Event Began

Accessibility is Beautiful started as a partnership with The Steel Yard when RAMP CEO Tina Guenette helped to make their studios fully accessible and inclusive to all. The first event took place on September 10, 2021, and was put together in just over 2 months. Accessibility is Beautiful 2021 welcomed 500 attendees and several vendors to make the day a success.
Tina's Table Sketch Unveiled

The sketch for the very first Tina’s Table was unveiled at Accessibility is Beautiful 2021. This table is a collaboration between RAMP and The Steel Yard, and is made in their fully accessible studio in Providence.
Tina’s Table is functional, beautiful, and inclusive, and a portion of proceeds supports the collaboration between the two organizations. The first Tina's Table can be found at Kennedy Plaza.
Everyone is welcome at Tina’s Table!
