Rhode Island
Accessibility Summit
The Ocean State's first Accessibility Summit.
On May 5, R.A.M.P. proudly hosted Rhode Island’s first Accessibility Summit at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln. This groundbreaking event brought together leaders from federal, state, and local levels, as well as members of the disability community and their allies, to champion accessibility initiatives and spark meaningful conversations.
More than 550 participants from across New England and beyond gathered with a shared commitment to advancing accessibility and inclusion.
Special guests from the United States Access Board led a pre-event Town Hall, giving local organizations, business owners, disability advocates, and allies an opportunity to share their perspectives and experiences on accessibility in Rhode Island.
The momentum continued beyond the Town Hall and Summit. From May 4 to 8, R.A.M.P. CEO and Access Board Acting Chair Tina Guenette guided the United States Access Board as they toured Rhode Island. They visited Centreville Bank Stadium, WaterFire, the Coast Guard House, Bristol’s Veterans Home, Track15, Farm Fresh Rhode Island, and the Convention Center.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the United States Access Board, public officials, sponsors, and partners for their invaluable support in making this historic event a reality. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who believes in R.A.M.P.’s mission—your support made the Accessibility Summit possible, whether you attended or cheered us on from afar. Here’s to next year!
